- Acclaimed businessperson and founder of tech companies Galvanize and Kenzie Academy as well as the InCubate program.
- Tax counsel with an LL.M. from New York University, one of the most elite and respected graduate tax programs in the world.
- Community leader with a history of multiple high-profile and impactful board positions touching business, EDI, social justice, and the arts.
With broad experience in corporate law, Rehan acts as outside general counsel for companies with either a specific business challenge or a variety of legal needs faced throughout the full life cycle – start-up to exit– of a business. He is the highest level of business lawyer that Colorado has to offer. He has run an award-winning independent law practice for a decade, supporting and mentoring others.
Rehan relates to his clients and understands the challenges of owning and operating a business, as he has done so successfully many times for himself over the years. He changed the business and tech landscape as a Galvanize, InCubate, and Kenzie Academy founder.
Rehan applies the knowledge from his personal business success to his client’s growth goals:
- Co-founder of Galvanize, a software engineer bootcamp system that sold for $100M+
- Co-founder of Kenzie Academy, an online coding and tech school that sold for an undisclosed amount to a university
- Capital raised to support both ventures over $100M
He has mentored other business owners for years through his work with The Unreasonable Group. This accelerator program seeks to support the innovative business professionals who are tackling some of the biggest problems we face on a global scale, including the future of fusion energy and solar-powered farming initiatives.
Corporate Strategic Planning and Taxation
Rehan is also well positioned to advise on non-legal needs, such as strategic planning, to strengthen a company and create a better-run business proactively. His understanding of the global business ecosystem, including its strengths, challenges, successes, and failures, is second to none. Rehan holds an LL.M. in taxation from New York University, the world’s most prestigious graduate tax program. His deep understanding of tax law has made him “the” local Denver Metro area resource on the sophisticated aspects of business tax practice. As outside business counsel, he has been involved in corporate restructuring and specialized tax and business setup plans for companies in a variety of areas, including tech, finance, and real estate.
Catalyzing Community Leadership
Rehan is known in the legal community for championing equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). He is also known for starting and leading initiatives that our community needs. His career has intentionally included service to others, including impactful work as a past president of the ACLU of Colorado and the founding of the South Asian Bar Association of Colorado. In 2020, he was honored to be listed as “highly commended” by Chambers USA for the Diversity & Inclusion Lawyer of the Year award.
Additionally, as a trained actor and multi-instrumentalist, he is a devoted advocate of arts and culture. He currently serves on several prestigious boards in Colorado that focus on the arts as an essential part of our community’s social and economic vitality.
