The Nike Foundation and Unreasonable Group Name Rehan Hasan as Attorney in Residence for the Girl Effect Accelerator Program

The Nike Foundation and the Unreasonable Group have named Rehan Hasan, of Hasan, LLC, as the attorney in residence for its new Girl Effect Accelerator program, the world’s first accelerator dedicated to the most powerful force for change on the planet – adolescent girls!  As an attorney in residence, Rehan will assist companies who are part of the accelerator program with strategy, general business and legal questions.  In addition, Rehan will serve as a legal and business specialist for social impact venture companies participating in the accelerator, so they can better leverage their resources and community impact.

“This initiative connects directly with the core values of our firm,” says Rehan Hasan, entrepreneur, strategic advisor and lawyer at Hasan, LLC. “Not only does it allow us to leverage our work in the venture/private equity environment, it allows us to forge relationships with people who like us, are building strong communities.”

The Girl Effect Accelerator, launching in November 2014, includes an intensive two-week program for entrepreneurs leading wildly innovative startups that are positioned to benefit millions of girls in poverty.  The initiative will connect 10 select ventures with world-class mentors, strategic financing, and access to a global network of support. The Girl Effect Accelerator also welcomes 3 entrepreneurs in residence to join the program in an effort to help take their efforts to scale.
