Colorado Small Business Upcoming Events

Keeping up with the Colorado small business workshops, educational opportunities and events is a great way to stay informed, network and enhance the strategies of your Colorado LLC, S Corporation or C Corporation.

  • The South Metro Denver Economic Development Group (EDG) has developed a series of programs called the “The Business Empowerment Series” (BES). These will consist of different topics presented monthly by experts in various fields. The focus is on the small business and past topics include financial planning, marketing, human resources, business insurance, and financing. The March 2012 Topic: Business and Philanthropy.
  • Startup America is putting on weekly competitions with the end goal of signing up 100,000 companies to the Startup America Partnership. Called “The Master Challenge,” these will be underway until March 31st, 2012. Each week, two different tech groups will compete to see who can get the most startups to sign up with the Partnership. Each week’s winner is posted on the  Master Challenge Leaderboard.
  • The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO Colorado) will be holding its first ever Rocky Mountain Entrepreneurial Summit (RMES) on March 7. This event provides a framework for unifying the state’s most important entrepreneurial groups with the vastly diverse entrepreneurial community. RMES is Colorado’s premier forum where entrepreneurs can learn, grow, connect and leverage opportunities to do what they do best: drive economic change in exponential ways.
  • The South Metro Denver Small Business Development Center offers a variety of workshops all year long. Some of the March events include a  Women-Owned Small Business Workshop sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration and Tax Season Survival Tools: Help for America’s Smallest Businesses sponsored by the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE)
